I was designed and produced in a small fishing town on the east coast of Scotland before bestowing my smallness on the even smaller town of Jedburgh on the borders. Narrowly avoiding death from a winter freeze we fled south to warmer climbs and settled in Bournemouth on the south coast of England. After being just old enough to develop an English accent and make strong bonds we decided it was time to move back once again into the cold lands of the north!?! and arrived in the small town of Forfar. Survival taught me to quickly develop a Scottish accent before happily settling into a modicum of normality. Next it was down the road to Dundee before a short adventure in the USA. On my return to Scotland I moved North to the Granite City before returning once again to Dundee. The story continues…

The expansion of my grey matter began after secondary school when I completed a two year HND in Publication Production which led me into a job as a designer working for Kall Kwik. After roughly a year with Kall Kwik I was given the opportunity to become a web designer working for MediaCo. This was a great experience which was interrupted due to the desire to travel to America. Squaw Valley ski resort in California was the place I enjoyed working as a ski lift operator for four months until returning to Scotland to find another web design position with Web Ecosse in Aberdeen. During this time I became aware of the possibility of a career in Animation and due to having no previous formal art training I was able to secure a two year placement on a foundation art course at Dundee College. I developed quickly and was offered the chance to move into the one year portfolio preparation class which I promptly accepted. The strength of this portfolio gained me entry into Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design where I am currently finishing my third year of a four year BA(Hons) degree in Animation.
